Shelby earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2021. She specializes in Trauma and PTSD, as well as Depression and Anxiety, helping clients find strength and healing through compassionate, evidence-based care.
Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. Shelby believes that relationships are among the greatest resources a person can have, and she encourages her clients to invest in their healing so they can nurture meaningful connections in their lives. Healing, she believes, can take many forms — from learning to love more freely, to rediscovering long-lost dreams, or understanding the parts of oneself that have been clouded by trauma, anxiety, or depression.
Shelby understands that finding the right therapist can be intimidating and that the healing process doesn’t always feel comfortable at first. Through a trauma-informed, empathetic, and holistic approach, she creates a judgment-free environment where clients feel seen and supported. She focuses on uncovering and building upon the resilience and inner resources that each client already possesses, helping them strengthen the areas of life that need support.
Whether someone is seeking healing, clarity, or growth, Shelby draws on evidence-based practices to meet each person where they are. Down-to-earth and deeply compassionate, she takes pride in forming genuine connections with her clients — creating a safe, trusting space where they can explore, heal, and move toward becoming the healthiest version of themselves.
